The prestigious 2004 Agent Achievement Awards were presented at a glittering industry dinner at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 30th March. The event, which was sponsored by Avis, Cosmos, Cunard, Travel Weekly and Worldspan, is the only one to focus exclusively on leisure and business travel agents operating within the UK.

The Travel Gateway Ltd was both delighted and honoured to receive the 'Highly Commended' award for 'Best Bookable E-commerce Site', under the brand AFerry.to. This was especially impressive when compared to larger companies in the same category including Expedia.co.uk, Lastminute.com, and Thomas Cook.

The Industry Awards categories recognised achievement in promotions, training, use of technology, E-commerce and agency management while the Principals' Awards honoured agents in regional and national categories based on sales Agencies were rewarded for professionalism, innovation and achievement in running a successful travel agency in today's increasingly competitive environment.
